An Invitation to Share in the Mission 6/13/26

One of my friends often says, “Shared sorrow is half the burden, and shared joy is doubled.” Over the past month, I have been working through a fundraising course, and that thought has taken on new meaning for me.

What stood out most during the course was the realization that fundraising is really about inviting people into the mission. It is not simply about financial support, it is about giving others the opportunity to participate in what God is doing.

I have always tended to be fairly self reliant. While I depend on God daily, relying on others has never come as naturally to me. As a result, this month has involved not only completing assignments but also adjusting my mindset. I have been learning to view fundraising not as asking people for money, but as inviting them to become partners in ministry.

The ministry God has called me to is a coffee shop outreach in Poland. For many people who have spent years in traditional church settings, the idea of a coffee shop serving as a place of ministry can be difficult to imagine. Yet throughout Scripture, we see Jesus meeting people around tables, sharing meals, and engaging in meaningful conversations. While the setting may look different from a church building, the mission remains the same: sharing the Gospel and demonstrating the love of Christ

As I prepare for this next season, I would like to invite you to join me in this mission. Your prayers are invaluable, and I would live to hear from you through whatever means you prefer. Ministry is not meant to be done alone, and I am grateful for those who choose to walk alongside me.

And who knows? Perhaps one day you will finde yourself visiting a coffee shop in Poland. We can share a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a delicious pastry, and talk together about the goodness and faithfulness of God.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and partnership!
